This deal has been getting a decent amount of chatter in the Hulu thread, so I thought I'd make a dedicated discussion for it for those who might otherwise miss it. If you pay for one year up front, you can get an entire year of AMC+ for $23.88. Go to amcplus.com to sign up.

From the site's FAQ:

AMC+ is a new premium streaming bundle that includes the best of AMC, BBC America*, IFC, and Sundance TV -- with full access to Shudder, Sundance Now, and IFC Films Unlimited.

For context, this is cheaper that signing up for Shudder on its own.

EDIT: It appears the service includes some but not all of Shudder's content. Buyer beware.

I subscribe to Shudder through Prime. I barely watch anything on Shudder, since I’m always on YouTube, Netflix or Hulu!

AMC+ includes AMC, Sundance, IFC, Shudder, and selections from BBC America. You can watch the live streams of AMC, Sundance, IFC, and BBC America. Shudder is on demand only so there is a waiting period for special events like Joe Bob’s Drive In.

The annoying thing is your AMC+ login only works for AMC+, you can’t access the seperate apps. Also, if you didn’t do this promo and subbed via Amazon Prime Channels or Apple TV Channels then you don’t get a login to access AMC+. That means you can only use the Prime Channel if you subbed via Prime or the ATV Channel if you subbed that way.

Is it confirmed if you sign up for AMC+ like this, you can use the same sign-in info to use the Shudder app and website like normal? I just don't want to be stuck only getting their content through Apple TV channels or some other pipeline.

My Shudder annual subscription ends/renews around April so this sounds like a great option. I just want to be sure this isn't a compromised version.

I deleted my comment above before I realized you answered me. Because I stumbled onto the inner Shudder channel. Yeah it only works within the app, but as far as I can tell it’s the full shudder selection so I’m happy. Thanks

So, I am going through AMC+ right now and I have some observations for you guys:

1. The website and app are awful. The user interface is just terrible. It looks nice, but it doesn't function all that well.

2. Not everything that is on Shudder can be found on AMC+. Many of the movies that Shudder added in the last few weeks are nowhere to be found, but some movies like Prisoners of the Ghostland IS on there. I don't know what the rhyme or reason for this is, but not everything is one there. Some older films like Nightbreed and Blood Rage aren't on there either.

For the price, I guess we can't complain, but it still kind of sucks.

Yeah totally agree 1000% with #1. Even going onto the site, there's no way to watch because of the signup crap. Need to fire the website coder. The app I have on my TV doesn't even save my info. ****ing horrible indeed.

Yeah, I assumed that since it's called AMC+ it would include Better Call Saul. Nope. Not a single episode. These streaming services need to get their act together and make sure the content they show on their network can be viewed on their streaming app.

You're probably best just searching at justwatch.com and then searching at amc+ to see if it's on there.

I posted earlier that the AMC+ login is only for AMC+. It does not work for any seperate apps.

JustWatch lists all 3 of those movies as being available on AMC+, however the icon used on the JustWatch site is the AMC+ logo with a tiny "Amazon Prime" on it.

I searched for Rec in the AppleTV app, it lists as available through iTunes (Rent or Buy), Amazon Prime Video, and Plex. No listing for AMC+ so they may have lost the streaming rights

Apparently they're still on Amazon's add-on version of AMC+. I will say that Shudder doesn't have [REC]. I know this because I actually signed up for Shudder in October primarily for [REC] because a google search showed it to be on there. I contacted Shudder about this and they basically apologized and said they used to have it, but the page is inactive now.

If you cancel before the end of your subscription will you have access to the end of your subscription.
