I got the opportunity to catch an advanced screening of this, and was absorbed with the story throughout. The film's structure is unconventional in some ways, particularly in handling flashback scenes that give the audience glimpses of why each character is motivated by a singular goal. There really isn't a "lead" in this cast, as if the collective is the main protagonist itself.

There were some scenes that I felt quite tensed by, most of which involved the construction and handling of explosive material.

The ending isn't what I expected either (I haven't read the source material the film is based on). Don't expect a typical Hollywood action flick conclusion, but it maintained it's intrigue nonetheless.

On a completely different note:

Apparently there was a limit to how many letters of a title can be printed on the ticket stubs of the theater I attended. Somehow "How To Blow U" seemed like I was about to see a very different movie than what I signed up for!

Another one of those movies where my local theater shows the trailer but doesn't get the movie.

Watched it last night and thought it was really clever, tense and taunt. I imagine it will twist a few people the wrong way but it’s highly confrontational and strikes the correct balance of finding real anxieties along with real concerns on both sides without really losing it’s overall nerve to dedicate to the piece.

Well, that's awkward. It could've been a smash if it had been, ah, allegorical for Nord Stream

Does it have any redeeming plot twists, like the saboteurs being paid to commit their crimes by an oil company executive? Or, referencing the first point, the government of several world powers?

This was, hands-down, one of my favorite movies I've seen this year. I went in with almost zero expectations and couldn't have been happier with having them exceeded.

My theater finally got this after several weeks but only with one showing per day at 11pm so I guess I'm waiting until it's on VOD

I couldn't help but notice the critical balance of gender and skin tone among the cast. Equity, after all, is the most important aspect of film making today.
The trailer showed that, despite their visible differences they worked together, expending equal effort, to achieve their obviously heartfelt goals.
Hopefully this film will make it's way to my small, single screen theater soon.

Caught this today, picks up in the final act, but my god does it drag badly getting there. The disrupted narrative does little to make the flat tepid script any more intriguing. Well performed though and has a weird low budget desert 70s sci-fi vibe to it, which is kinda incongruous to the actual story. Glad I brought a strong cup of coffee with me, would have slept through a good chunk of it otherwise.

Any of the genius protagonists stop to ask in the movie 'hey, if we blow up a pipeline aren't we ourselves ruining the environment?'.

Yeah. I had the option of 11 am or 10 pm, so I took yesterday off for a "me day."

Bad timing, with a title that just screamed to be about current events but it wasn't. This could have been a "Roman a clef" story, or a Mel Gibson's Edge of Darkness-type poignant revival of the political thriller genre.

It's a little like if Deepwater Horizon, the film, hadn't been about the incident on the titular oil rig.

Agreed on the sentiment in this thread. Saw this in theaters on a whim, and boy was I glad. Great characters, intense throughout and a neat ending. We need more political thrillers, this was like a political eco thriller?
