Default John Candy

I was looking at my autographed John Candy photo the other day and started thinking about how great a comic he was. So many of his films remind me of my childhood and how hard I laughed in the theaters watching him. So I thought I'd put up another poll asking you what your favorite John Candy film is. I didn't put some of the films where he played a tiny part, but I got to admit his short role in JFK was brilliant. So vote away in rememberence of one of film's greatest comedic actors

This morning I watched Planes, Trains, & Automobiles on HD cable and I was thinking we need some John Candy movies on Blu-Ray. Uncle Buck is one of my favorites.

PT&A for me.

The rental counter scene with S MARTIN is an all-time classic in my household.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Steve Martin and John Candy should had made more movies together. It's a shame about what happened to John Candy. May he rest in peace.

Love John Candy. It really was sad when he died.

I had to go with Planes, Trains and Automobiles. One of my top 10 comedies of all time. Candy is also synonymous with Uncle Buck.

Del Griffith was one of John Hughes' greatest characters. No one else could've played it better than John Candy.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles hands down...

OMG, that scene with Steve Martin and the car rental lady (the receptionist from Ferris Bueller) is worth the price of admission alone!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Definitely one of the best comedies of all time. A Thanksgiving classic!

Love Spaceballs too and Cool Runnings.

His character in Little Shop of Horrors was also pretty funny, although that scene only lasted for all of 2 minutes.

PS... you forgot Delirious, which is a GREAT comedy.

Uncle Buck was totally one of my faves as a kid. Spaceballs and The Great Outdoors aren't far behind though.

I think I saw Planes, Trains and Automobiles once, but was too young to remember much of it. I guess I should put it on my must watch list.

To the OP, did you notice you put Splash on the poll twice?

Who's Harry Crumb got my vote, but it could have been that, Uncle Buck, or Plains, Trains, and Automobiles.

I love John Candy.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles for me. Uncle Buck is second place.

I like his smaller roles in films too, like Home Alone, Blues Brothers and Little Shop of Horrors.
