The last season of Family Matters when they moved to CBS and recast the mother, lol. I believe she felt she was owed more money. I don't know the details, so it's hard to judge, but if all she wanted was parity in pay with another cast member for likely just one more season then they should have just paid her. She was after all the original spinoff character from Perfect Strangers.

Dexter had bad seasons with good pieces, but season 8 had nothing worth while at all. A giant mess from start to finish.

Lost was originally intended for seven seasons. Studio shortened it a season during its fifth season. Writers were scrambling to end it abruptly.
