Good on Lionsgate for still making 4Ks for this and Borderlands despite their failures.

The trailer didn't look interesting. Everything looks fake and digital.

This movie looked absolutely great in IMAX. The only shame is that the sequences that had IMAX aspect ratio will probably be reformatted to fit the screen.

So glad I got to watch it in IMAX, it was really mind-blowing

I’m going to wait for the Ultimate Edition where every time you pop the disc in, someone has to come to your house and interview Adam Driver for that one scene, and then excuse themselves afterward.
My only question is whether or not I’m supposed to tip the guy or not.

Will probably come with a subscription to have someone shout through your letterbox every time you spin the disc.

Fantastic news! So glad they went ahead with a UHD and knowing Lionsgate, it’ll have great bonus features that do the film justice. Hopefully we’re getting the documentary Mike Figgis shot during filming or a Charles de Lauzirika-type multi-part documentary. Maybe Cliff can gives us a little teaser if he’s working on the release

I saw it in IMAX and I didn't notice any expanded-ratio scenes. What were they?

Most of the scenes after the Saturnalia begins were in expanded aspect ratio; almost all of the split-screen stuff is in it.

I'm so glad this is getting a UHD! The cinematography was probably my favorite aspect of the whole movie. It should look amazing at home in HDR

I saw it in IMAX but a 1.90 theater and it was 2.00 consistently and there was no live action element during the interview. I dunno if any 1.90 theaters got an expanded ratio (which would, what, be 2.00 to 1.90?) but I’m guessing the changing ratios was only for true IMAX theater presentations in 1.43 theaters. Anyone who saw it in 1.43 know for sure?

Yup, that sounds about right.

The 1st time I watched it, it was with the live participation bit. It was really a lot of fun, but after watching it that way, I didn't really miss it so much.

BORDERLANDS could have been much better if they’d done some reshoots to beef it up. Quality wise it was a lot like the middle and back end of DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE after they get to the desert.

Yep, I saw it at Universal CityWalk on the full 1:43 IMAX screen there and it had the changing aspect ratios.
