Def Leppard: Pyromania (1983) Super Deluxe Edition Blu-ray

Def Leppard will release their album Pyromania (1983) as a Blu-ray Audio and Video disc in April 2024. The information is currently only available on the band's US online shop and so far, the Blu-ray will only be in a Super Deluxe Edition of the album with four CD discs. The ship by date on the store listing is currently April 26th, 2024.

The Blu-ray is said to contain a "new stereo mix", Dolby Atmos, 5.1 and Instrumental versions of the album tracks, as well as five videos.

Sweet, retail at $100 means the local shop should knock off around $12 so I will have them order me one. Plus no useless vinyl. KISS and GNR need to take notice on the price, this is how you do it.

I have the deluxe edition that came out a few years back, but I’m stoked about the new Stereo and Atmos mixes. Absolutely loved this album growing up. Bought it with my paper route money in 1985 when I was 12. I remember my cousin telling me about when he saw them at The Spectrum in Philly in March of ‘83 when he was 16.

I find vinyl to be anything but useless.

He might wanna relive that. They were on top of the world at that moment.

I still have the original vinyl release. It says, “Also available on 8-track & cassette.” Classic. Mastered at Masterdisk by Bob Ludwig.

It took a couple of extra days but, I picked up my copy yesterday. I'm hoping to listen to the blu-ray this weekend.

I just got my copy from France. This is another music release with large packaging where the discs unfortunately come in square paper / cardboard sleeves which are not much bigger than the discs themselves. In this case, the sleeves are inserted into slots in a digipack "book" of similar paper / cardboard material.
