Note: I chose to, for the most part, ignore television productions. There seems to be a new British serial based on an Austen novel every other year. I only included the 1995 version with Colin Firth as Darcy because it's become so iconic in its own right.

As for my favorite, I am torn between Ang Lee's Sense Sensibility and Joe Wright's Pride & Prejudice. Both are respectful, very well-crafted adaptations with amazing ensemble casts. I chose the latter just to choose one; they're equal in their greatness in my eyes.

Emma. My then girlfriend dragged me kicking and crying to watch it. I ended up liking it more than she did.

The miniseries of P&P with Colin Firth and the miniseries of Emma with Garai and Johnny Lee Miller are the only ones I love.

Hopefully S&S and Mansfield Park get versions as good as those two someday.

Sense and Sensibility easily. But next would be the Keira Knightley Pride & Prejudice and the 1940 Greer Garson one.

Bride and Prejudice is fun too though.

also partial to the '95 Colin Firth Prejudice adaptation.

Whit Stillman's 2016 version of Lady Susan, Love & Friendship w/ Kate Beckinsale, is also pretty great.
