You know, the wife has always been supportive of this hobby, and she even appreciates it herself. But if I had those, that's probably where she'd draw the line cause I'd never leave the house and she'd get sick of my blasting tunes all day long.

Thanks, my wife is very supportive as there are other hobbies that can be more expensive

Same. Within reason, of course. She (I mean "we" ) just redecorated the whole downstairs, which resulted in an unplanned speaker upgrade. And here I am almost $8k later for front stage and surround.

Nice gear. I love McIntosh! I scored my 881 for super cheap last year. It has cracked glass but it still operates fine. McIntosh can cut me new glass for a few hundred, but I'm not sure if I want to tackle installing it.

Well, I liked the 8207 so much, I bought a second! Now its all McIntosh and Crown for the subs.

I considered jumping into the McIntosh camp and thought about trying out a McIntosh MX200 processor. I'd been wanting a new processor with Auro 3D and had been looking at the Arcam AV41 for a while now. But for not too much more was the MX200. I figured I could forego Auro to give a McIntosh processor a try and was thisclose to ordering, but then the AV41 got discounted $2k off so I couldn't say no at that price and snagged one.
