Its the way the cover art super imposes Ryan’s head over the body of the Scorpion reminds me of the CGI scorpion king monster in the mummy returns.

I wrote on the forced subtitles French list. It does indeed force the subtitles. That's wild side for you.

I mean, it wouldn't really be an issue with a Panasonic player as you can just move them off the screen, but unless you really love the steelbook there's not much of a reason to go for this over the excellent second sight release.

I'm sure they will. They released two other FilmDistrict movies on 4K in the US which are Looper and Insidious.

Looks like a direct port of the Second Sight disc, but with the bit rate pumped waaay up (54.44 mbps vs 87.82 mbps). In the comments section of the YouTube video they claim the compression is better on the french disc; would be interested to see a comparison.
