Default L'amour Fou - Jacques Rivette - 1969

Jacque Rivette's long unavailable L'amour Fou has been painstakingly restored and will get it's premiere at TIFF 2023. I wonder if the two Rivette titles on Criterion have sold well enough to interest them in doing a R1 release? Kino did a fantastic job on La Pont du Nord, so they might be interested as well. Cohen screwed up their release of La Religieuse so I hope they don't get involved!

Here is a trailer (without english subs):

Radiance in the UK (who also release US editions) has said they’re releasing a Rivette title so it could well be this.

I'm pretty sure the restored version was first shown at this year's Cannes.

I'll purchase the UK release. No point waiting for a Criterion version unless theirs will be an actual 4K

A 4K UHD would be lovely but I have a feeling this will get the Christ Stopped at Eboli treatment from Criterion.

I received my Radiance bluray today, completing a zen-like two decade wait. First thing I did was reverse the sleeve to the original poster. That garish, grainy B&W and purple artwork had to go. The actual discs were made in Poland (not sure if that is a sign of quality or not). Nice thick booklet.
