Haven't seen the movie yet. I've heard many mediocre reviews for it though. I do like the steelbook, and it will go nicely next the the original Exorcist so, i'll probably end up blind buying it.

I don't buy a ton of stuff on physical on release date so I'm okay splurging on this. I absolutely loved this film. Big fan of DGG's Halloween (all three, especially Ends) and Leslie Odom is an incredible get for this franchise.

This was a totally critic-proof movie for me. I understand the gripes but I was on board for the entire thing. Big fan.

I would have liked the film more if they’d have left Ellen Burstyn out altogether. I absolutely hated how they treated that character.

I haven't seen the film yet myself, so I can't comment on it yet.

However, I 100% agree with you about the $40 pricing here. This is getting kind of ridiculous! haha

I remember when new release 4K steelbooks used to be like $30 max. Then they went to $35, then $38, and now some are over $40.

Agreed. I couldn't care less about the Steelbook itself, but I liked that outer slipbox/book combo that it came with. As of right now I'm still supposed to be getting my Bible Edition of the original film come month's end and was hoping to pair it with the UK special edition set of Believer, but it looks like I've missed out on that one as when I tried to order it Amazon UK wouldn't ship it to the US, and now it's gone completely.

I said something about the price being ridiculous on Facebook and got a comment like "Waaaah cry about it". Like who the f$&!# is fine and on board with any standard 4k steelbook being $40, why would you support and want for prices to go higher?!

Why does it matter what the price is?

I've seen a lot of comments around about how people "have to buy the steelbook" because the have the other movies even though they hear the movie is bad. Basically blind buying it.

Hey if people have to buy a steelbook for a movie that they haven't seen and figure the movie is going to suck...well then they may as well charge more for it because they know they can.

There are just too many people that can't say no.

Yet there were enough people to say no for other steelbooks like Wonder Woman 84.

If this was a well received movie and still priced like this you'd get a different response. Something similar to the response the Prey steelbook got.
