Default The Boy Who Could Fly (1986)

I decided to make a thread for this truly underrated classic teen fantasy drama film. It offers something that not many movies of today offer: To capture your heart and make you cry. The chemistry between Jay Underwood (Eric) and Lucy Deakins (Milly) was amazing and truly emotional. Child actor phenomenon Fred Savage made his film debut here and Bonnie Bedelia and Fred Gwynne co-star on this treat from the mind of Michael Myers himself, Nick Castle! With decent special effects from Richard Edlund (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ghostbusters, Masters of the Universe, The Monster Squad, Ghost, Die Hard) and great cinematography from veterans Adam Holender (Midnight Cowboy) and Steven Poster (Dead & Buried, Donnie Darko) combined with a heartbreaking music from Bruce Broughton (The Monster Squad, Young Sherlock Holmes, Baby's Day Out). Hopefully Shout Factory or Warner Archive to release it on 4K or Blu-ray someday.
