Probably could do with out the loud jumps, Neon are really bad at over-egging their horror films in their trailers. But it looks like it could be interesting, as long as it doesn’t just go down the path of being another Rosemary’s Baby.

Ironically looks more like a cashgrab Omen prequel than The First Omen itself. LOL (and releasing one week or so before it!)

Nun exploitation movies could really use someone like Verhoeven or DePalma who can play into the lurid, overwrought qualities. I’ll see this because of Sweeney, but the trailer looks a little self-important.

Trailer looks godawful (pun intended). But then again, horror has never been Neon's strong suit. I can't wait for the Sydney Sweeney hype train to be over. She's sooo boring.

I agree it’s highly obnoxious, but the reason they do that is to get people to watch the whole thing when the trailer shows up as an ad in the middle of another video. Whatever gets people into the cinema is fine by me

The director's previous movie with Sweeney, The Voyeurs, leans pretty hard into the ridiculousness so this might just be typical horror film trailer editing

I found the same true of The Voyeurs, sadly. Self-important and not enough fun. I wish Sydney would get a chance to work with some indie/art house darling to really flex her talents.
