Universal Studios The Expanse - The Complete Series Blu-ray (2015-2022)

Universal will be releasing The Expanse: The Complete Series on Blu-ray on November 21st! This was one of the greatest shows I've seen, and I'm happy to finally see a complete series set come out. This will be a pressed MOD release. Season 5 and 6 will also be released Individually.

Note: Like the previous release, Season 4 is region A locked. Pressing the top-menu has worked with the Panasonic UB820, and this may apply to other players too (especially Panasonic). Season 5 and 6 have been confirmed to play with region B settings, and are likely region free. Credit to Kasim2409

Hundreds of years in the future, things are different than what humanity is used to after humans have colonized the solar system and Mars has become an independent military power. Rising tensions between Earth and Mars have put them on the brink of war. Against this backdrop, a hardened detective and a rogue ship's captain come together to investigate the case of a missing young woman. The investigation leads them on a race across the solar system that could expose the greatest conspiracy in human history.

I thought this would never happen, so I'm happy it is. I'm sure some people will be upset by the lack of a 4K release, but that was always unrealistic. Getting a complete series set on blu-ray is still a big win.

There was a syfy show I saved an article about but it got lost. Was this the show that had webisodes or extra online footage? If so, did the previous releases have it?
I’ve had this on my to watch list for a while but never got around to it.

More than one show fits into that category, but I'm guessing you're talking about Battlestar Galactica.

Why unrealistic? Aren't they all still in 4K via PRIME?

Yes they are. But getting TV shows on 4K discs is an unrealistic expectation, given the paltry number of shows released on the format thus far. Most of the biggest shows on TV aren't getting 4K releases, so it seems highly unlikely this show ever would.

I'm more upset that I seemingly have to buy the first four seasons again, on the same format, just to have the last two seasons.

I'm very much hoping that won't be the case, but...

I'm relieved to see that we're getting the whole series released on Blu-ray as a set of pressed discs - but also frustrated that I apparently get to re-buy 2/3rds of the series to get the last two seasons.

I only got a copy of the series on the high seas - it is such a worthy show I will definitely get a blu-ray set. Kudos to Universal and all who saw fit to finally release this!

I wonder what this will cost... but I'm going to have to pick it up regardless.

Very happy to see this! I have the first three, but won’t mind some double dipping to get the whole series in a set. Terrific show!

Amazing show. Trying to cut back on purchases this year, but I might keep an eye out of this one.

It was so jarring watching this show do scifi and human drama so damn well and then trying to watch that other show that won't be named just flounder all over the place. If you know what show I mean and were also disappointed, then you should definitely give this one a watch.

When S5 never came out, I'd sort of assumed they'd just wait til the series was over to release anything.

Kind of hoping for S5/6 releases, but I'll buy the entire series if I have to.

Universal MOD eventually released individual seasons for The Office (ie seasons 1-4, which didn't have BD releases during the original airing). I'd say 50/50 odds seasons 5 and 6 get individual releases.

My seasons 1 and 2 are from Dazzler in the UK, so if I do cave and double dip at least there'd be alternate encodes on offer. Or, maybe seasons 5 and 6 get released abroad...

Looking forward to getting this set. Haven't watched much sci-fi TV in a while but this one I keep hearing VERY good things about.

MSRPs are $69.98 for the DVD set, and $79.98 for Blu-ray.
