Quote:
Possibly the most infamous entry into the Nazisploitation genre, Sergio Garrone's SS Experiment Camp is a harrowing and deliberately triggering experience which, even by today's standards is as powerful as it was when originally released in 1976. From its provocative, tabloid baiting original poster of a naked woman dangling crucified and naked, the movie pushed the boundaries as far as it could. Set during the tail-end of World War II we follow the deranged experiments performed on innocent prisoners of war by the utterly sadistic and evil Colonel von Kleiben in his attempt to create the perfect Aryan race. Shocking, notorious and endlessly exploitative, the movie continues to disgust audiences all over the globe nearly 50 years after its initial release.

"What have you done with my balls!?"

Peak cinema. Kinda delighted this is coming to UHD, I best flog the BD on fleaBay before the value plummets. That artwork is godawful, though. Would be cool if 88 did an alternative edition with the infamous VHS cover...

Nice. This is one of the better Naziploitation films in my opinion. I may have to upgrade.

It's probably better known in the UK than it ever was in Italy. Here it was caught up in the video nasties furore and subsequently banned, though that was more to do with the VHS cover IMO than the actual content. It's relatively tame.

I've never watched a single Nazisploitation flick despite having one or two in my collection. I'm kind of afraid to lol. In my mind, these will either be too tame or goofy, or extremely perverted and sick LMAO. I guess I could pop one in to see if I'm just full of it

Naziploitation is not something that I have much familiarity with, but I really enjoyed that element of Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood. Would this movie be a good introduction to the genre?

88 Films probably wants to get this out before the payment processors come after "offensive" movies next.

Wish they kept the UK title for this. Also would be sick if they did a store exclusive cover with the pre cert VHS cover. They haven’t done a store exclusive release in a while now I believe

Eugenio Ercolani posted this on Facebook:

Quote:
Announcement here (and I have a feeling this is going to be the first of many, over the next few weeks). Believe it or not, Sergio Garrone's quite distasteful entry, the first of two, in the nazisploitation current is getting the 4k special edition treatment from 88 Films. Yep, you've read that right and this is what you can expect to find within it.

A brand new interview with editor Eugenio Alabiso, who finally goes on the record about his brothers and the whole Alabiso clan

A brand new interview with film music expert Pierpaolo De Sanctis on the career of Roberto Pregadio

A never-used interview with the man himself, Sergio Garrone

An archival interview with cinematographer Maurizio Centini

An audio commentary with myself and Nanni Cobretti

In terms of Nazi themed movies, I would love to see 2 films by Tinto Brass, "Salon Kitty" and "Black Angel"( AKA "Senso '45"), make the jump to 4k. I expect Blue Underground and Cult Epics to release those in 4k in the future.

Haven't seen Black Angel, but I'd love to see a UHD of Salon Kitty. Surprised it hasn't happened already tbh.
