In the film from writer-directors Celine Held and Logan George, when an eight-year-old girl mysteriously vanishes, a series of past deaths and disappearances start to link together, forever altering a broken family’s history.

Dylan O’Brien, Eliza Scanlen, Diana Hopper, Caroline Falk, Sam Hennings, Eric Lange and Lauren Ambrose star in the pic, which the filmmakers sparked to after coming across a photograph of the real Caddo Lake online, leading to many visits to the cypress forest that rests on the border of Texas and Louisiana. The film was shot in late 2021 and 2022 in and around Karnak, Texas.

Leave it up to the only GOOD Shymalan film this year is the one he didn’t write or direct.

This film is excellent. Dylan O’Brien is great and so is Eliza Scanlen. The entire film plot is a spoiler but this was expertly written, leaving open no holes. Just a fantastic supernatural mystery thriller.

Well-made and I enjoyed it, although I had kind of figured out what was going on halfway through it. I suspect the filmmaker behind it, really likes the German Netflix mindbender series DARK.
