Misato and her anti-NERV group Wille arrive at Paris, a city now red from core-ization. Crew from the flagship Wunder land on a containment tower. They only have 720 seconds to restore the city. When a horde of NERV Evas appear, Mari's improved Eva Unit 8 must intercept. Meanwhile, Shinji, Asuka, and Rei (Provisional Name) wander about Japan.

Happy to see this finally coming and to 4K! But $80 is too much for me.
Hopefully they package together all 4 films in a 4K set soon, as well.

Wow they're pulling Japanese market prices with this one over importation shivers. Hopefully it will be encoded nicely like the series set. If we get standard Shart Factory encoding it'd be quite a slap in the face. lol

Am betting on some price drops though. I'll pre-order anyway because I worship Ehvinjellyohn.

I had a feeling that the 4k was going to be expensive. I expect it to drop to $60 or $70 though tbh. Since the Shout Blu-ray is Region A just like Japan is region A.

What in the world is that 46 hour long extra? Surely I'm misreading it, even on a blu-ray disc it would have to be so compressed it would look like one of those GameBoy cartridges with SpongeBob episodes on it.

It's not 46 hours long; it just has a weird name (per usual with this series).

The "-120min" one is a digital comic, and the "-46h" one is a ~10 minute short.

2.22. It doesn’t seem to be out of print yet. But not exactly easy to find.

very cool announcement, what are the chances of the entire series getting remastered in 4k? I know animation rarely even gets 1080p...im not sure if i should hold out from getting the entire series on blu ray or not

I think they only charge tax in places where they have physical locations, so mainly Main, and New Hampshire.
