This is coming directly from Paramount. Since this is for October, the B&N listing almost certainly got posted prematurely and will likely be taken down soon enough.

Shout Factory already released the film on 4K:

Seems kind of odd. I guess it's no different than Sony releasing their 4Ks and then Criterion releases the same a year later.

Oh hells yeah. Been waiting on a decent enough price to pick up the normal 4K, but this is one I'd always hoped would get a steelbook, so I'll just hold out for that. Something tells me the art may not be very different (if at all) from the normal 4K, but that's cool. Would love to see the inside art be the character cards, or just have them include physical character cards. I'm not usually a fan of when they include cards or other physical objects with a steel to bump the price, but this is one I'd actually be down for.

Paramount did the same thing with The Ring. Shout Factory released the 4K boxset and then Paramount released a steelbook.

In the same boat. I could also see Paramount throwing the film on a BD-66 vs Shout’s triple layer disc. They did that with The Ring.

Artwork is nice though. If I can get it for $25 from Walmart, then maybe. Amazon is at $33 right now.
