Yes, The Hard Way. The legend that is James Woods!
Funny, I was only thinking about this film the other week, thinking it had no chance of a Blu-ray release ![]() Last edited by CinemaScope; 08-28-2015 at 06:46 PM. |

Yeah, James Woods on Family Guy isn't an exaggeration, that's just how he is

Surprised Universal seem to be releasing these films themselves. They seem like the type of titles Fabulous Film would've picked up. Having said that, Universal probably still has a lot of good will towards M.J.F.
I'll probably pick up Success and The Hard Way eventually ; haven't seen the other two. |

The other two are good solid family films. Greedy is a comedy caper, Kirk Douglas is the very wealthy grandpa of a family after his money and they believe he's on his way out so all try to obtain the inheritance. I'm sure it's either a remake or just a plot you'd have seen tons of times before. It's good and rewatchable. The other I'm sure I've seen loads, but titled The Concierge. It's a 'charming' rom com MJF works in a hotel but dreams of one day owning his own. It's along the comedy, charm etc of a Doc Hollywood type...you know how it's going to play out. Is a rainy Sunday afternoon film that's 'nice'. You're not going to make a big Saturday night deal out of it. Neither are as good as SOMS or Hard Way, but then neither of those are as good as BTTF or Teen Wolf...maybe Hard Way is up with those two. All four are worth it for me, but the £15 needs to drop to £9.99 max, can wait for them to go into a 3 for £20 deal which I'm sure all will and no doubt soon after release. |

Wish Universal (Region 1) would release these.
The Hard Way is a fun flick -- It's where I learned to eat a Frog Dog, and man, are they tasty. The Secret of My Success -- other than BTTF and Teen Wolf, definitely one of Fox's best from the 1980's! Greedy -- Haven't watched this since I saw it in theatres. I remember liking it. For Love or Money -- Saw it when it debuted on VHS. Not that memorable that I recall. Not sure why Universal doesn't release this as a box set. They could easily include BTTF (the entire trilogy or just the first one), plus The Frighteners. |

Nothing immediately of interest in this batch for me, I may check out The Hard Way at some point. However good to see Universal still releasing groups of archive titles. Its been a while since the last. Mad Dog and Glory and Raising Cain in the next lot please.
