Wild Wild West Blu-ray Review

Earlier this week, I purchased Wild Wild West from Best Buy, who has this as an exclusive title. Since no reviews have been posted, I thought I'd give my impressions on this release.

While I watched this in a 32" HDTV, I found no problems with this disk, in regards to the picture quality. While I'm aware that most reviewers have slighter larger HDTV's, I found the picture quality to be on par with The Spirit and The Rock. While not perfect, I found the PQ to be around 4 of 5 stars. Warner Brothers did a very great job at transferring this movie to Blu-ray.

You won't be disappointed. Best Buy has it for $12.99 this week.

Wild Wild West Blu-ray Review

It seems like it was a good transfer. Although I'm a Will Smith fan, I never cared much about this film and it will have minimal replay for me to justify buying it.

It's funny really, among the most expensive films ever made ($170 million), and it got mixed reviews. I really liked it.

A horribly disappointing movie, IMO. I wouldn't want it even if it was offered for free.

I'm just glad I got to see this for free back in the day

As much as I love all the actors involved, especially my Selma, this was a waste of film

Glad that this got a quality release. Not particularly great movie, but I like the techno-western setting. When will this be de-exclusived to other retailers?

Why do critics [ergo, people] get things wrong? Are moments of interest periodically doomed to misunderstanding -- being overlooked, mislabeled and mocked?

Probably one of the worst films that Will Smith ever starred in. He finally got back in the groove in 2004 with I, Robot after two mediocre sequels (MIB II and Bad Boys 2).

This is a major nostaliga/guilty pleasure flick for me. I'll pick it up when the price drops a bit.

People on this thread have a real problem when people like movies that have been panned. Check out the Green Lantern thread. It has been getting testy and I know there have been plenty of deleted posts.

I like the whole idea / aspect of steampunk which probably explains why I liked this movie, yeah its bad in many ways but I still like it and will purchase when it shows up at my local pawn shop.

If you can call 9 out of 10 reviews calling the movie horrible while the tenth saying it was okay "mixed".

Opinion still isn't fact, and it doesn't matter anyway. If you like it you like it, doesn't make you a bad person.
