Scanner Cop 2 is THE best Scanners sequel, even better than Scanners 2.

And I must say that it's a fantastic movie.

Day one for me.

2- Scanner Cop 2/Scanners: The Showdown

3- Scanners II: The New Order

4- Scanner Cop

5) Scanners III: The Takeover. Pure crap. An insult.

I'll probably get these if they release versions not in limited slips. Then again, maybe I'll get this version later on. Huge fan of Cronenberg's Scanners, never watched the sequels.

I was thinking we'd never see these on blu-ray, considering we never even got them on DVD, and here they are in 4k! Couldn't pass this one up. Both are very entertaining. Way better than you'd expect for made-for-video films. Some excellent effects work and some good villains too, and the main hero is actually quite likeable.

There were Region 1 DVDs of the Scanner Cop films released... but only in Canada. Old VHS/LaserDisc era masters and in full frame....though they're still interesting to keep around for including alternate French dubbed prints on the discs.

Thankfully, VinSyn went the extra mile and gave us 4K UHDs of them on top of blu-ray copies.
