Yeah, I was wondering the same thing, but I can't imagine it won't. Amazon lists the set as having seven discs, which seems like a lot for the eight episodes of Season One. If you include last December's Christmas special, that's still only nine episodes over seven discs, which would leave room for plenty of extras. No idea if they're making lots of extras, but it would be fun if they did.

DTS HR wasn't that bad on paper, mind, with a possible data rate of up to of 6mb/s for BD. It was unfairly set upon in the desire to have everything lossless (myself included). I'm now much more forgiving of lossy but perceptually lossless codecs. It's not like they had DD 448 or something.
True, the BBC did cap DTS-HR lower than they needed to. Looking up Who series 5, they capped it at 2mb/s is is barely better than old skool DTS. But it's still way higher than streaming is now. Last edited by oddbox83; 04-29-2024 at 10:38 AM. |
