care to place this posting in the COD4 megathread if you'd like.
so, i finally hit 55 rank, and am currently considering prestige mode, but am hesitant to do so because of my perks. 1. so if ever i wanted to get to finish my challenges, does the points still accumulate? 2. what happens in prestige mode? back to zero right? *sigh* 3. does it affect your gameplay? ie. accuracy, less health etc? personally, im going to keep it at 55, and get my challenges finished. then head to prestige one. its nice. but i tried it on a different profile, and felt a bit sour when i started from scratch. |

if you go prestige, your challenges get reset, and yes, your XP, perks, classes etc all get reset. you still have access to all game modes though. your statistics remain intact. |

so at this point,
1. no matter how many points i accumulate in any given game, its going to mean nothing UNTIL i chose to go prestige mode, am i correct? 2. confirmed zero out on all my benefits... its a good thing i keep on telling myself... 3. hasnt been answered yet... i still ponder on it. but would like to keep it fresh too! |

I think its Infinity Ward's way of telling you to put the game down and go outside for a little while.
Plus the game can get repetetive after you reach lvl 55 and use the same weapons/perks for a while. |

3) huh? outside of losing perks that might affect them, unless you magically suck more after going prestige, why would this make any difference to your health, aim, etc? |

just a heads up, hate to post the same thing again so bumpin this instead...
entered prestige mode last night, great god it was a little bit difficult to stop pressing the left button (claymore *****)... 1. i did notice that i prefer using the first sniper rifle a lot more often nowadays, and its pretty interesting WITHOUT iron lungs! 2. points wise, i think they cut the points down by half, considering each match (even those i sort of NOT suck) give me a dumbfounded moment where i go apeshoot over it. two airstrikes, friendly choppers and all, and i get a meazly +53 points? oh well. 3. i miss my R700. =( 4. oh! i almost forgot to mention, my er... soldier seems lighter now. i dont know why, even without extreme conditioning. maybe you gain weight when you go up the ranks. =P talk about realistic! |
