Both films will be on one disc. It will not be a flipper disc, as it is from Warner Brothers.

Overcompression can have a negative impact on picture quality.

But since these are on a BD-50, when WB normally uses BD-25 for older catalog titles, no worries.

Yeah, DVDBeaver has posted specs on the Frantic/Presumed Innocent disc (both 2hr films), and while the bitrate is rather poor, it's no worse than what we've seen from Warner on a lot of separate titles.

Oh, the one with Robert DeNiro you post had me so confused?

I think I only have a few DVD region 2 that are flippers no problems. I don’t see why Bluray should have issues unless its carefully produced.

Seems like simple way of putting two films on the same disc one on one side the other on the other side. Or is it the other way around?

Universal is the only company currently doing flipper Blu-rays, with the Blu-ray on one side and the DVD on the other. These double feature discs will not have bonus features so fitting both movies on a disc shouldn't be an issue.

As these are both pretty short movies there should be no problem with them taking 25GB each.. Or maybe it'll be 2 Discs.. I just got a warner double feature and it came on 2 seperate discs

The Blu-ray.com article stated that all of the February 23 double features will be on one disc with the exception of Dirty Harry/Magnum Force.

It doesn't really apply here because these double releases aren't flippers...

But DVD and Blu-ray are 2 different formats with different specs so it could cause more problems than have a flipper DVD. Just like the HD DVD/DVD flippers.

I think blu-ray flippers(with blu material on both sides) may help defray the cost of production on discs and that in turn will result in more blus being sold. And in turn will help pave the way for more lesser known titles and TV shows to hit blu.

Also haven't seen it however I heard that out of all the Double Features they're releasing this last week the Miss Congeniality/2 have the best transfers. But at that price, I can't really see any1 being wronged.

I've heard that the first film, the only one of the two that I wanted, doesn't look very good and the second one looks better.

If the first one gets a 3 on a this site, I will pick this up when it's $7.99 over the holidays. Had it just been Analyze This with special features by itself, I'd be picking it up from BB for the $13.99 and be thrilled.
