I'm confused as to the different versions of this.
This seems to be the Blu-ray that has a few Extras according to Amazon. Are all the versions the same? https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Lets-.../375663/#Forum |

This one is the UK only Blu-ray https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DXGW5Y8K/ It will likely be locked to B.
The one from France is a 4K so will play anywhere https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0DBJ9KG1X/ The included Blu-ray may be locked to B. The Kino will likely be locked A https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Lets-...lu-ray/375663/ I have the old UK DVD and it and the old disc from France have the best extras. I'm waiting to see what's on the UK Blu-ray but I will likely just buy the 4K from France when I see it a bit cheaper. UK Blu-ray chat https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...9#post22899289 and https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...2#post22971422 There's been several releases with good extras but also a couple where they look the same release but the extras are removed. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Here's what it has extras-wise: Chet's Romance (9mins) / Video of Chet making his way to a TV set with him talking over the intro and then playing the horn / encoded French subtitles Tromba Fredda/Cold Trumpet (14mins) / short film of Chet wandering around with his horn dubbed over the action. Chet baker music videos directed by Weber: Everything Happens to Me Almost Blue Looking Again For Chet (documentary) AKA You Don't Know What Love is Until You've Learned the meaning of The Blues (25mins) / in English removable French subtitles Main feature looks and sounds beautiful. Removable French subtitles. 32 page booklet with photos / no text. The included Blu-ray would not play on a native North American player. The 4K should play fine on all 4K players. Would that be a license for a blu-ray release only or for the title to be released on any potential home video format? If the former is the case then there might still be a chance.

"Let's Get Lost" was shot in 16mm so I'm honestly not sure if any UK company would want to upgrade it to 4k UHD, although I see value in an upgrade.

That B&W 16mm footage would look gorgeous on a well encoded UHD and a decent amount of films shot on 16mm have been released on 4K UHD at this point in time and have proven themselves worthy. Only downside I can see of a potential UHD release is if it's an SDR 4K master which means they would have to do the HDR grading after the fact which isn't ideal.
