Super Puzzle Fighter HD - Blu-ray Forum

I was wondering if anyone will be downloading this game today. It is supposed to be released on the PSN today and was released on the X360 yesterday. I think this is a really fun puzzle game and I remember having fun with it on the PS1 and even the GBA release. I just hope it doesn't get over looked by all the Warhawk and Lair goodness also to be had this week.

The HD Remix is to feature single player (of course) and off/online multiplayer. It is to sell for $9.99 on the PSN (800 M$ Points on X360)

PS Store has not been updated yet, but I remember the announcement from a few weeks ago, and it is supposed to be on there today. I checked XBL last night before I went too sleep to make sure this was the release week. I want it on PS though.

i originally wanted it on PS, but its too expensive (collectors) and im completely addicted to HD games, so its a definite buy off of PSN for me.

I'll be getting it. I downloaded the 360 demo and it was a blast, so I will go ahead and give Sony my money instead for my ps3

Besides, my live account is innactive PERMANENTLY (i won't pay $50)

so if I want to compete I can do it free on ps3. Plus I prefer to pay with money than "Credits".

Not sure on that one. I played the demo of the HD one on X360 and Street Fighter was just not the same for me. Felt too dated. I am not into most of the 2D fighters anymore. Or i would at least want the newer ones like Street Fighter 3 or one of the newer Alpha's instead of the older Street Fighter 2's.

thats why they are redoing it in HD.

I am sick the credits too. I have 70 M$ points left... like i can get something for 70 points. I HAVE to buy more to make use of what I have. Screw that. Same on the Wii, I think I will have 200 left over points there too once I buy something else. I am 100 points shy of some games and I dont want to buy more and calculate what I have to buy so I can hit 0. I think last I looked at it, I have to spend around $50 and only buy certain things so I can hit 0.

It is not about graphics or HD updates to me. It is still about game play. I will take an HD update to something if it is still a fun game. But I think the Street Fighter on X360 was the first or second release of Street Fighter 2. I just could not get into it. Same with Anthology on PS2, while it was fun for a second, it felt dated and old.

Puzzle Fighter will be on the PSN tonight and I will be buying it.

I will also be all over Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Completley re-drawn sprites and backrounds plus those classic SF controls.

The Store update is now up. Puzzle Fighter is out. There are also some wallpapers for puzzle fighter. The Tekken Online pack is out also, darn them. Another $9.99 i have to spend.

Time to start my downloads. When i get back home I will be in Puzzle Fighter blis.

Puzzle Fighter HD is a mixed bag.

Gameplay is tight and accurate, and the HD graphics are nice, except for the fact that the characters aren't in HD. The playfield is in HD, the menus are in HD, the score and backgrounds are in HD, but the characters look like someone hit them with a Blurry Stick.

Online? Can't tell. Servers were down when I checked about an hour ago.

I was going to get it since I love puzzle games but I tried the demo and didn't really like it. I wish there was some Tetris Attack would come out for PSN.....that is easily the greatest puzzle game ever made.

Playing puzzle fighter last night took me back. I love this game. worth every penny. The blown-up sprites were a bit out of place.

My only gripe is the 360 version is Dolby Digital, the ps3 version isn't.

Though converted to PLII they sounded about the same.

Aside from that, great game!

Downloaded as soon as I heard it was available. If you like puzzle type games this is one of the best IMO. Fast and competitive its fun to trash your friends. I cant comment on the online as I haven't tried it yet.

yeah i guess. but the characters. why did they not make them high def as well. waste of money. its all about ssf2t remix hd anyways. that will be the gem of both games.

Is anyone on here still playing this game? I got it recently and I'm totally addicted!!! I kinda suck at it though, like 6-18. I need to challenge some people who aren't 256-0 like the ones I played the other night.... Lemme know your ID if you want to play, you'll probably boost your own stats!
