Default Isn't this an exciting time to be blu?

Hello to all the true blu folks out there.

I'm a new blu-bee and this is my first post. I got my player about 6 weeks ago and I've become an avid reader at this forum and others. And some of the recent comments I've noticed about the lack of great new and catalog titles got me thinking.

You see, while there are those who are complaining, I personally could not be happier to be blu at this point and time.

I find this moment in the growth of blu to be extremely exciting. I just can't get enough of it all. The thrill of seeing a new blu-ray disc on my television for the first time is exhilarating. And I find myself drawn to forums like this (great) one as many as two, three and sometimes four times a day. I love to scour the posts and look for tidbits about upcoming releases. And one of the things that makes it so thrilling is, there are so many potentially great films just begging to be seen on blu, that it just continues to fuel the drama of it all.

I remember feeling this way about DVD in the early years as well. But as the years passed I found it harder and harder to get this worked up about the prospects.

Does anyone else feel the way I do about the future of blu?

Welcome to the forum.

It is a great time. Blu has won the war and we have a lot to look forward to. I'm personally glad that we don't get too many titles at once. This way I can save money in between and not buy everything on credit.

This is an exciting time. We have won the war. More Blu-ray players are being sold. More BD's are being sold to go with the players. Now more stores are competing for BD sales. Things are looking up.

My guess is that by the end of 2008 bluray will make up about 20% of movie sales for that month and further carve out a slice of the dvd pie. The prices just need to drop to the 19.99-24.99 range .
