Default Beatles fans vote off

Who was your favorite singer in the Beatles?

This was inspired by the Beatles being left off Steelmaker's classic rock poll. The Beatles deserve their own poll!

I had to vote for Lennon, he was simply amazing. When I was younger I used to prefer McCartney.

He'd be even richer if MJ didn't rip him off by buying his songs!

Very very tough choice between Mcartney and Lennon. Overall I probably prefer the tone of McCartney's voice over Lennon's but it's a close call.

I hear ya. I think McCartney has a better "singing" voice as it is sometimes just beautiful, and I used to prefer that. Now I prefer the roughness and passion of Lennons voice, although Paul did let loose on Helter Skelter.

McCartney for me. Oddly enough, I like a George Harrison song more than any Beatles song or any song released later by The Beatles members..."My Sweet Lord"

Wow, I knew this would be a tight race!. People are really split on Lennon/McCartney. I hope the poll keep getting votes.

Haha! It's funny you say that becuase one of my all time favorite Beatles songs is "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." A song also sang by George Harrison.

Paul was my favorite when I was younger also. Fool on the Hill is an old favorite. Maybe there is a trend here though, as my tastes also turned more towards John Lennon as I got older. John had just as beautiful a voice as Paul. Just listen to A Day in the Life for an example. I just think that you didn't get much of an opportunity to hear that side of John Lennon as ballads and such were not really his style.
