everytime I buy a f@#$ing blu-ray movie that I think is a great deal a sale comes along and undercuts the price I just paid by at least $5. even the ''sales'' I buy my movies on get undercut. the b1g1 and the recent amazon 50% off are perfect examples. I wish instead of putting these on sale constantly can't they just lower the price overall? has anyone else gotten bent about this?

Yes, just a day before the sale I ordered Speed for 27$. Now you can get it for 19.90. But I try not to get too worked up about it, since we early adopters end up paying more for everything anyway. I just take the loss as an investment for the glorious HD future. 7 bucks less in the pocket does hurt, but nobody forced me to rush in

If you ordered it from Amazon, then send an e-mail to customer service. They will probably refund the difference.
Amazon has been amazing to me recently. Three examples: Delayed shipment of The Departed: $10 refund Delayed shipment of a bunch of the sale items: $30 refund DVD sent instead of BD disc: Full refund and keep the disc with our compliments (no pre-paid return option from Canada). These guys really seem to want to keep the customer happy. I guess they also note I've bought a ton of stuff from them. Gary |

There are tons of movies on that sales list, that I still have sealed on the shelf. I bought them the day they came out and paid about $5-$8 dollars more than the sale price, but I wasn't upset at all. That's the price you pay, anything you buy WILL be cheaper in the future. Yeah it sucks that it was so near in the future, but that's the price of being an early adopter.

I suppose I could take a more zen approach to it if I had more disposable income. but the way I see it is $5 here $10 there and that's less BDs for me to get. I know it comes with getting in early, but as stated earlier when the timeframe is a week or two it stings just a bit. makes me wary of buying more lest they go on sale for less. no guts no glory right?

i see both sides to it. but i look at it as any other purchase, the t.v. i bought in dcember for 1600 will be 1000 next december and 500 a year from now. that is the way this stuff goes. there will always be something bigger, better, and cheaper around the corner. you just have to be able to deal when the timing sucks.
