Default AVP Requiem Audio pop?

Does anyone else running an Onkyo 605, Panny BD30 get a Pop during AVP:R right around the 12:20 to 12:30 ish mark (When the kid tells the girl the price of the pizzas)? This is when watching the Unrated version, and only that one time.

I had been waiting to see if anyone else had this issue, which I havent seen anything yet, so I am starting to think its just a bad disc. I just need to do an exchange from the looks of it.

What audio codec are you using? If it's DTS-HD MA, there's quite a few posts regarding Onkyo's (among other receivers) and loud pops during DTS-HD playback.

It's possibly/probably not your disk.

I have a lot of DTS-HD MA discs and this is the first one thats done the pop (on a totally average scene with no effects other than him opening a pizza bag).

My understanding is that issue was with a small percentage of the early 605's, and ive only had mine since Feb 08.

Got it at 12:30. I've had that happen on only one other BD. I have the 805 and the 30.

if it is a loud explosion sound then its whats called the dts ma bitstream bomb. it was suppose to be fixed on future movie releases by dts. not all dts ma movies are affected. this is an issue with onk and yamaha receivers except recently mfg ones. onk has an update for onk/integra models but i dont know about for the 605.

if it didnt scare the crap out of you then its something else.

I have a Pioneer receiver and I've heard this pop on many occasions already with several different movies that have DTS-HD MA audio. It's a bit annoying for sure.

I guess I should have clarified that I know all about the DTS issues with pops. Having watched a few of the discs that are known to cause the pop without having it happen on my system, I thought I was in the clear.

After reading a few other forums, I see that AVP:R is indeed being added to the DTS list of potential "poppers", and that it is not my Disc, but the Onkyo bitstreaming the DTS.

This is what I heard. At the same location, pizza boy in party girls house...
I kid you not. It sounded exactly like when I shoot my 357 magnum S&W off. The tonal and volume qualities were identical.

I thought the neighbors might call the police. It was LOUD and scared the Hell out of me!!!
