Did you really think Lionsgate wasn't ging to dip again? And again, and again and again and again?

I think they've released Rambo at least 3 times on DVD, maybe 4. It's right up there with T2. Nice to see a descriptive audio track on there though, I think Sunshine is the only other one with it, and with all the extra room Blu has to stretch its legs in the audio bandwidth it'd be nice to see those ported over. It was super nice to watch Sunshine with my friend from my collection rather than having to narrate it or wait for the rental to show up from the federation of the blind or wherever he gets them

You are right. It looks like the U.K BD sports more extras but LGF has spoiled us by giving these 7.1 ch mixes which overshadowed the extras.

I think they both may have the same special features. If you look at the LionsGate blu-ray, it says "featuring a Blu-ray exclusive expanded option that takes the viewer beyond the film with extended and Bonus View ™ Picture-in-Picture exploration into the film’s casting, locations and other filmmaking secrets. So going by that statement, it looks like the casting, production design, and the other features on the Sony UK will also be on the Lionsgate release. Plus, Lionsgate will have 7.1 sound. I will choose the Lionsgate release!

I'm thinking that's very likely the situation.

I'm still keeping my original copy. That presentation and package is fine by me. I'll be looking to add the rest of the series much later, as none of the other films came close to matching the original in my eyes, in terms of the overall movie itself.

This thread is about the new Rambo movie.

And yes, the discs look to have the same features, just worded differently.

Speaking of Rambo, that's the best movie I've seen in the past year. It's even better than 300 (IMO). Right now I don't have any type of blu-ray player because I had to sell mine several months ago but I'll get back on my feet. I'm definitely buying Rambo for blu-ray and nothing is going to stand in my way.

I'll be getting the UK disc to support the local market. I expect Sony and Lionsgate to both do bang up jobs on each territory's release.

I would like the 7.1 Lionsgate version but with it being region locked, I have to get the Sony one

Lionsgate are an odd one. I would say that it could be region locked, given that they only seem to lock movies that other distributors have overseas. With Sony putting out the UK release, they could well lock it. Then again, they locked Saw IV and that was also distributed in other areas incuding the UK by Lionsgate. The whole thing's up in the air until the actual discs come out. I'm hoping that Part II isn't coded, or I'm stuffed.
