Does PS3 support AVCHD? - Blu-ray Forum

Just wondering if the PS3 supports AVCHD files on DVDs. Also, will it play BD-RE's, or if not, is there a firmware update in the works? Thanks.

The PS3 not only fully supports AVC, but it uses AVC for all the game and movie trailers at the PS Store. The official specs list BD-RE support, and I seem to recall reading folks using them in PS3s just fine.
