Hey guys, im new here. Whats the story? I was told yesterday that alot of new films coming out are not going to be made on blu ray but only HD . Is this true? please tell me not because i love blu ray.

There are still 3 studios left that do not support blu-ray, but all the rest support only blu-ray or both formats. And I expect the 3 remaining hold outs to switch to blu-ray (or support both) when they see the massive sales dominance of blu-ray and figure out how much money they are actually losing now. HD movies in general are starting to gain in sales to standard def so the size of the market is getting more and more important to the studios. Look forward to some really good news in 2008. I am!

there are only a few outlets here where I live where you can actually but Blu Ray movies. Target (all 29.99), Wal Mart (mid 20's) and now our Sams Club.

Sams just put in a new display here in the middle aisle with titles priced at just under $20, in addition to new releases that are of course, higher priced. And also the local Wal marts have many more Blu Ray movies than the other format. I think it is just a matter of time, especially if another studio jumps to BLU or BLU exclusive.

Yeah thats true but the only problem is that HD is alot more expensive than blu ray. Here in Ireland it is anyway. Not sure about the rest of the world though.
