Default What primary genre is Underworld?

I just got Underworld and Underworld: Evolution on blu-ray and am wondering what genre it would be... Action or Horror? My first judgement would be action but I think it is officially listed under horror. At most major retailers it is too. But whenever I'd want to watch a horror movie, Underworld is not what I'd have in mind... What do you think...?

I'd say it's a fantastic film but with a lot of action elements.

Horror ... hmm, not so much. Real horror for me doesn't have action elements but instead is a very suggestive film. It's the uncertainty that creates the horror aspect

Buffy-esque

Don't get me wrong... I like it but it's clearly a jump on the gravy train that was Buffy.

Of the two action/horror I'd say it's action. I'd never consider it a horror movie. Horror to me means frightening and the only thing frightening about Underworld is how good Kate Beckinsale looks

It is an action flick.

They happen to be vampires and werewolves, but it is still commando with a plot.

I'd have to go with Fantasy-Action. I usually consider a film a horror movie if it is scary.

Action for sure. It might have a moment or two that make you jump but it is still pretty much staight action from start to finish.

Straight out fantasy because its got hot mama Kate Beckinsale all throughout

But I would file it under Action/Fantasy/Horror on a serious note.

I'd have to file it under the 'Hot babes wearing tight leather' section.

Fantasy action. The movie doesn't really follow any conventions of the horror genre except that vampires and werewolves are characters in the story.
