Default Metal Gear Solid 5!? Kojimas change of heart!

http://feeds.gawker.com/~r/kotaku/full/~3/295779358/kojima-is-thinking-about-metal-gear-solid-5

"Metal Gear Solid 4 isn't even out and whaddaya know, the game's creator Hideo Kojima is already thinking about Metal Gear Solid 5. While MGS4 was supposed to be Kojima's last entry the series, he seems to have had a change of heart recently. Isn't he ready to move on to other things? Dunno. What we do know is what he told Famitsu [*spoilers ahoy!*]:

I gotta start thinking about MGS5... Even though, well, Snake's story ends in MGS4.

...About MGS5, that would be something that Kojima Productions would have to make, I think.

Sounds like Kojima's at least considering doing Metal Gear Solid 5. If MGS4 is a hit, it'll be hard for him not to do it. And hey, if he actually does make MGS5, then he can think about making MGS6 after that!

Famitsu scan below.

for you people who have not figured it out here is what happens everytime with MGS.

1. Awesome trailer is shown.
2. Kojima implies it is his last game
3. Kojima announces disappointment in his work and says it could have been a lot better.
4. Kojima finishes the game, and implies more to come.
5. Awesome game released
6. Cycle repeats itself.

I'm all for it, as long he's got some more well-inspired story and gameplay ideas.

I'm a predict: it comes out Fall 2012, PS3/BD50.

God, if they are trying to put Snake in the game again, it would need a flashback storyline like MGS3. I just can't see this happening after MGS4 unless theres a new character involved.

I loved everything about MGS3, not so much the controls in Portable Ops so I'd like to get my hands on Naked Snake for a second time with my DUALSHOCK 3 controller.

I don't really want snake's story to end (or at least don't want to see him die at the end of 4), but I guess a good MGS sequel would appease me.

No one's forcing you to play the sequels.

For all I care, some series were never even made, but that doesn't mean I protest the developers making more sequels.

But if it ended at 3 we would not have 4 and to not have 4 would mean no mgo for ps3 which would make many sad.

I guess Kojima is worried about becoming one of those people stuck making one game for the rest of there life but he loves mgs too much to actually part ways and theres always a want to make it better.

1up yourself.

Kojima just probably heard the numbers for all the pre-orders.

Probably just wants to finish Metal Gear Solid on a high note. If he feels he and his team are up to it they may continue Metal Gear later on.

metal gear is one of my favorite franchises, but it would have to be a flashback storyline for me to get hyped up over MGS5. i mean, i like playin as a young solid snake, not his grandfather.
