Default Blu-ray Weight?

Does anyone know where you can find the weights of each blu-ray? I really want to know how much things weight since now there are so many different types coming out like Hellboy II's Special Edition and the Bat-Pod for the Dark Knight. If anyone knows where to find the weight of them let me know.

maybe Op wants to make sure his shelves can stand the weight

maybe you could use a digital kitchen scale http://www.amazon.com/NewLine-Space-...5823278&sr=1-6

They are all the same sized disk, why would they have different weights

If you are asking about the total packaged weight, then that could vary a lot depending on security devices, artwork, instruction booklets, etc. I don't think it amounts to much at all so you likely won't find the different weights published anywhere....

Like Mac said, it's the packaging that makes the difference. And it's hard to tell because packaging is not standard.

FYI: BDs are lighter than DVDs.

Could be a differnce in single versus dual layer. Also a adiifernt plastice used for the hard coating. Of course that would make an extreemly small difference.

I thought Amazon publishes weights in their DVD/blu-ray spec info....I don't know if that's even remotely helpful though, it just might be the weight with all of their packaging....?

I memorize the smell of mine. Each one is distinct.

He's got a link to his store in his signature. He obviously just wants to know how much he needs to charge to his customers so he still makes a profit.

You can go to Walmart.com and see shipping weights in the item's description. For instance, the Resistance 2 Collectors Edition is 3.0 lbs. It says it in the Features and Specifications section, just below the Mature Audiences warning, along with the dimensions, model no. and country of origin. Note: I don't know if these weights include packaging materials.

I was going to ask the same question about weight and for that same reason to mail them to buyers or family using USPS online.

That's a quite different question because that it includes packaging (the packaging used for shipping), and the packaging weight can vary tremendously depending upon the type of packaging used. In fact, the packaging probably weighs more than the BD. If you're shipping product to people, best thing to do is to buy a small scale and keep it at home.

You know that media of the past did actually have a distinctive odor and I find that such odors trigger incredible memories. The 78's my parents had when I was a kid, the smell of magnetic reel-to-reel tape (with each type of tape having a somewhat different odor) and the smell of vinyl are all quite distinct. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, if any of those odors represented some chemical that wasn't good for us), modern media doesn't have an odor (except, perhaps, when you watch it.)

I was hoping to find the answer here, but instead everyone questions the why?

A single blu-ray - weight? No one knows?
The reason I'm asking is for shipping purposes which I am sure was the intent of the person who asked originally.

No answer - just biting sarcasm in this thread.
