Default Cooties - December 1, 2015

Cover Art:
[Show spoiler]

Special Features:
  • "Circle, Circle. Dot, Dot...Catching Cooties" Featurette
  • Deleted/Extended/Alternate Scenes
  • Gag Reel
  • Alternate Ending with Optional Audio Commentary
  • "Talking Cooties" Featurette
  • The Cootietary - Audio Commentary with the Cast & Crew

Also seems to come with a slipcover. Price is at $19.99 for pre-order as of September 29, but I wouldn't be surprised if that drops as we get closer to release, seeing as it's a Lionsgate release.

Yeah, I'm betting it'll be $14.99. I hope to pick it up.

Love the concept and the cast. For those that saw it, does it live up to the potential? I might blind-buy this.

There is a thread about Cooties over on the movie board along with some users opinions because the film is already on Video on Demand. Here is the link:

User's opinions start at post #43.

By the way, I enjoyed the film. If you like horror comedies, you probably like the film.

Just watched the UK disc last night. It's ok. There are some genuinely horrific scenes in it. It looks and sounds great, and all the kids are really good at being little shits/angelic/scary as hell as required. The gore effects are strong. The sound editing of creepy kid noises is a standout. Strangely, the comedy falls a little flat. There are definitely some funny moments, but it often feels forced, like it read better on the page than it plays on the screen. The script seems like it could have used another re-write. The cast is as good as you'd expect, but somehow the whole thing doesn't gel like it should have. One good surprise, Leigh Whannell was fantastic as Doug, but again it seemed like they were building up to a scene with him that just never happened. Worth a look if you're into zombie comedies.

Perhaps it is just me, but does anyone else notice the black bars on this Blu-Ray are not totally black like all other films? On my Blu-Ray/TV they look more like a /silverish/greyish color. Sort of like light bleed on a tv that turns black to a silverish/greyish color.

Something is off with the black bars with my Blu-Ray.
