Hello All,
I'm thinking about upgrading from my beloved Yamaha HTR-5660 to an Onkyo 606, for the main reason of being able to play uncompressed audio. My Blu-Ray player is currently a PS3. My current setup is 5.1, and I don't have enough room to put another 2 speakers, to make a complete 7.1 home theatre. So, I pre-ordered Rambo on blu, which has the following audio tracks: English: DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 English: Dolby Digital 5.1 EX If I did have the Onkyo 606 setup, with only 5.1 speakers, will it sound weird trying to play the master audio 7.1 track?? Or does the receiver downmix it so that uncompressed audio comes out of the 5.1 setup? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks! |
