Welcome to the forum Mo Blu... hope you enjoy your stay..

You got a blu-ray collection started yet mate?

As for release dates I'd expect you'll have to wait a bit for some of those, X-files is likely to come out around the time of the new movie's release on Blu-ray a'la National Treasure. I'd love to see Hunt for Red October I must admit, great film.

I'd get "Seven" and "Platoon" on Blu-Ray.
Though I don't care too much about old movies being transfered to Blu-Ray, mostly the new ones. I would like the LoTR trilogy on Blu, or either/both Star Wars trilogy.

I think that Hunt for Red October was already pressed... Wasnt that included in the Jack Ryan Collection that Paramount pulled like a month before its release?

Anyway, to make a long story short, it will be on Blu very soon

I think your spot on there but god knows now when we'll see it. They'd obviously penned in the HD-DVD release then had that cancelled. I'm not an insider but I'd say that what limited replication ability they've got at the moment will have to go to the newer releases rather than catalogue titles. Once they get caught up with stock then we'll start seeing the older titles again. Give it a few more months I should think then we might hear something.

"SE7EN" is an absolute must.

"Fight Club" is not my favorite movie thematically speaking but it's too visually striking to not be a part of my collection, I think.

If Criterion gets into the Blu-ray game soon, I'm hoping "Kagemusha" or "Ran" is one of their first titles -- they'd both get snapped up immediately.

We may see the "X-Files: Fight the Future" movie when the new one coming out gets released on BD. Hopefully the TV shows at the same time.

1. V for Vendetta
2. the Thing.
3. House on Haunted Hill.
4. In the mouth of Madness
5. Matrix movies.
6. King Kong.
7. Classic Universal Horror.
8. Rebecca.

I know I would probably go broke, but I would buy both movies, and every season of the TV show, even if they all came out at once.

I still wanna see Beatty's Director's cut of Dick Tracy on blu. With all of those great colors, I'll bet the movie would really shine!
