Is there any news on these two being cleaned up for Blu ray yet?

I just hope if Aliens is put on Blu-Ray they add the Dir. Cut.

I would also want other 3 films on Blu as well.

Seeing Aliens in 1080p

I truly hope they fully restore Aliens like they did with Alien. They should re-scan the movies at 6k/restore before transfering them on Blu. And I hope we get both the theatrical and Special Edition for Aliens, I myself loath the Special Edition of Aliens.

There's no plan at the moment I think, Aliens director's cut would need to be re-cut from scratch, which is not a problem as all the elements still exists (it was originally cut on beta video ie only exists in DVD resolution).

A full scan and recomposit would be expensive, but just what the doctor ordered.
