Neither one will show-off the capabilities of blu-ray. It seems like you could stick with the SD DVD until there is a better re-release on BD...?

2 looks better than 1 for sure. 1 is dated. REALLY dated and hampered by older film stock.

Hey you can buy both of them ,they are looking far better than dvd version.

you can find terminator 1 review on upcomingdiscs and T2 on dvdfile.com

Terminator 1 is far better than the DVD version because of PCM soundtrack and MPEG2 done by Sony.

in the reviews is says that T1 does not include the original MONO track. It says the weapons were re-recorded. Can anyone tell me if this is the same re-recorded weapons from the latest DVD release of Terminator? I HATE the sound of those damn handguns. Everything else is fine, but I will actually switch the track in the beginning of the movie before he pulls out the Uzi, and at the end of the movie when he's chasing them on the motorcycle.

I love these two films as well. Do I feel bad having triple dipped with these BDs??? Not a chance!

Just now waiting for Aliens and the Abyss on BD...

I found that Terminator 1 looked great. The special effects are so campy in HD but it still looks great

Agreed. I thought the first one held up pretty well in HD.

I picked up both T1 and T2 used at a GameStop for $30 total. Of the two, I think T2 looks better, but T1 is still looks amazing.
