Sony offering cheap official HDMI cable

I just been browsing down the PS3 game section at hmv.co.uk when i came accross something interesting, an official sony HDMI cable for only £17.99.

I guess after all the complaints of having your warranty voided for not using a sony branded HDMI cable, here is a HDMI cable from sony that most people will be able to afford for under £20 and not void their warranty.

Don't believe the crap that you void your warranty for not using everything Sony or any CE manufacturer.

Not much chance of anything below £20, £17.99 is a reasonable price. I think that is the 3m one as well, so really it is OK in the grand scheme of things. Plus I can buy in store and get a 60% discount on most HDMI cables so I should be able to get this for a lot less.

I personally have a HDMI cable that i got with my upscaling DVD player so i'm already covered on that front.

This is just for those people that want to get a quality HDMI cable for under £20, i seen some running for £50+

Thats a good price for HDMI, how much wold that be in US $. I paid $75 for my Phillips, and I love it.

I don't see why they wouldn't ship it to you (haven't really checked if they do overseas shipping), but www.monoprice.com has HDMI cables that are fraction of the cost of the typical one sold in store.

I bought this one two months ago and have never had an issue.

I'll happily pay $80 less than regular store prices for something that will deliver the same exact picture. These aren't knock off cables, they provide the same thing any Monster Cable HDMI cable will, this company just believes in not raping the customer on price markups.
