Exclamation Resume When Pressing Stop

Does anyone know why some blu-ray discs don't resume when you press stop and then press play again? I've noticed that some do it and some don't. I gotta say that it is soo annoying when it wont resume as i dont like leaving it on pause for ages.

Thanks.

I was annoyed at first as well, but you should be using the Bookmark feature by pressing the green button on the remote and then go to "Scene Selection" and then you can pick up from the exact place you left off.

For some reason, all BD-Java discs don't (or can't) resume if you press 'stop', while the non-Java discs have no problem with this.

I wonder what the reason for that is.

the ones with the Java have the bookmark feature instead so its like its replaced by that but with the bookmark feature you can make as many bookmarks you want and then you just choose which scene you want to see

Not all studios have the bookmark feature, which I gotta admit I like a lot.
The only studios that are doing the bookmarks are:
Warner
Paramount
Sony

I think bookmarks work great as a work around the Java load titles. There's no reason why all studios shouldn't be inplementing this option to their releases, specially Fox with all their overpriced titles.

Because Java has to be loaded/started up on the machine each time the movie is started, and thus it doesn't work like a regular "non-java" title. It doesn't have the ability to have a tag to automatically remember. They get around it with the bookmark feature.
