Default Help! I got Fresca on my LCD screen!

Yes, you read it right. A while back I had my TV on my desk at school and needless to say I had a few alcoholic beverages and decided it would be a good idea to play some Mario Kart Wii. Eventually I knocked a cup of Fresca full force and it spilled all over my TV. I wiped up what I could with my cloth and then just left the rest. I decided I would now check as to what exactly I could do to clean the screen itself. I have a Samsung LCD so I usually use the cloth that came with it to wipe it down, but I'd like to remove some of the stickyness.

Whats the best thing to use for a screen and the plastic edging?

Thanks a lot.

...dear lord...me either.

I think we're more shocked about this "new drink" than the actual accident - but don't use windex! I would recommend the typical screen cleaners, Monster's is actually a good choice here.

I would check my owner's manual and see if it says its ok to use the monster cleaner or not. I would not recommend using the cleaner if in your owners manual it says to only use warm water with mild soap. I used it on my Sony LCD and didn't listen to the warning in the owner's manual and it messed it up.

Just save yourself the trouble and get a new tv, J/K. Go with Monster as mentioned above or something cheaper but similar.

i would just keep using the water. wet blue cloth clean it as much as you can and then totally rinse the cloth clean. repeat. personally that's what i would do.

LOL, Fresca, my mom's been drinking that for as long as I can remember... and I'm 29.

I suggest using a damp micro-fiber cloth (water) with a little bit of liquid soft soap (hand soap).

Please, let us know how you made out.

Fresca came out in the early 60's. One of its early spokespersons was a young Johnny Carson.

New drink? That's been around for over 30 years. I would wipe the TV down with a mildly damp cloth.

Fresca is good stuff with Vodka, or Bacardi. But on its own, it comes with a pair of pink panties.
