Default Fireware Help

I have a Sony BD-S300. I found out that i need to have my blu-ray player at 4.20v. I currently have my player at 3.95v. so i got the firmware link off of the official sony website and downloaded the correct ISO file and burned it to a blank CD-R disc. I then put the disc into my blu-ray player and it says "cant play disc". I know the file was burned correctly, because I have been using the same method i have always used to update my firmware

Normally...it would say 'downloading' to update the player, so how come it says 'can't read disc' instead?

Default firmware Help

I owned the same player and I always order the firmware disc from Sony to avoid any issues. Give that a try. The CD is free from sony webiste.

Makes sure after the download you burn IMAGE to the CD-R

Try another burn but make sure it's finalized and do it the slowest possible speed, probably 4x
