Default How to purchase steelbooks from foreign websites

Pretty much the title question. I know many members that have got amazon.fr, amazon.de steels etc and the one thing they all seem to have in common is a language that ain't english.

As such i cannot navigate my way through the whole thing with confidence knowing exactly what i'm clicking etc and this worries me somewhat because things like currency conversion etc are being asked and i'm not sure how to get past those stages.

My question is simple, how can i solve this issue and buy the steelbooks?

Thanks

Chrome works great. I think IE you can do it with Right click Translate with Bing or whatever but you can have Chrome do it on the fly so when it loads it will translate.

Just downloading it now if it gives instant translations to me. I will attempt to try the bing translate button with the right click option somebody suggested though.

I usually like my french teachers to have a sexy accent, beautfil body with a great face and a big set of hooters or be very svelte. Reckon ya tick the boxes + the french kissing lessons?

Can anybody with knowledge of Amazon.de shipping please confirm the 7 euro charge of shipping to the UK please.

Just noticed the awful spelling mistake in the title, maybe a mod could fix the 'foreigh' to foreign.

On a sad note, and I dont know if you have thought about it.

Tips and tricks steelbook shopping internationally may invite potential hoarders/traders that will ransack the inventory of a thing you like.

Rather than informative and helpful - this might mutate to somethign that will leave the others with non-inventory or immediate shopping hunt to "Sorry were Soldout"

True but lets just for the time being assume such greedy entities are already wise to such methods since the days of old thus this is for those innocents unaware of those methods used by such people and should help them much like it helped myself to obtain steelbooks i could no longer find or get in the first place in my own country

I totally agree. For every justice and for the common good.. there are always negative and evil setbacks.

Darn.. the philosophy of YING YANG... balance of good and evil

Ok, so i thought i'd ask in this thread since it is buying steelbooks from a foreign country albeit no longer about a website. I think this thread can be more all encompassing on purchasing online and from other people on this forum in a trade type capacity like we already do.

We all have probably considered buying from other people on the forum from the US, UK, Canada etc but sometimes theres confusions about what costs can be expected in shipping as well as the all important customs issue. I'm pretty sure almost all major companies are used to ship out products but customs is the issue i think everybody wants to consider.

I'll hopefully start creating a sticky thready for here in the steelbook section specifically but i'd also love to do a duplicate version for the Trading forum as this wouldn't just apply to steelbook trade or purchases as a helpful gesture.

So guys, please help me out. I know US to UK and vice versa is a big one and also the one i'm primarily interested in so i'd love to hear from people on both sides how you guys are able to help out each other and most importantly avoid the extortionate customs fees when buying for your personal consumption?

I primarily am asking because i'm buying off a member in the US who's given me costings so far, but the USPS international medium flat rate box can handle up to 20lbs, so i'm thinking i might as well up the amount of steelbooks i'd be getting since it would help avoid buying them again with even more shipping costs.

So, who's imported into the UK 3+ titles, even maybe a dozen or more and how did you side step the customs fees? Also, if sending to the US, how have you helped your buyer there?

Look forwards to responses

hmm, importing 3 titles into the uk = customs charges. the maxmium your allowed is £15 worth. i order once or twice a month from america but i always buy 1 blu ray at a time, will be interested to see if others order more.

I ordered about 10 blu rays from usa about a year ago with DHL and i didnt pay any import duty at all. i paid about $30 shipping and that was it Amazon have made it alot harder now to order using DHL as they whack on the import duty immediatley now so i dont even look at courier shipping as its ridiculously expensive
