I make the Ham and my wife's mom makes the turkey. Been doing it for about 4 years.

I glaze the Ham in Honey and cranberry sauce. It's better than Honey baked ham store and not dry like theirs.

just the usuals, but there could be surprises as we will have about 10 people at my house this year.

I usually smoke the ham in my smoker, wife does a cajun turkey and homemade mashed taters. Cousins bring green bean casserole, grandparents usually make homemade pies.

This thread is making me hungry!

All I need to make me happy is turkey, stuffing, and yams...lots and lots of yams. Everything else is just bonus!

coming through in the clutch, i knew my ma would have the recipe off the top of her head so just shot her an email and bam, here it is:

Raspberry Bubble Bread

2 loaves Frozen Bread Dough
3 oz box Raspberry jello
1/2 c white sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1 c chopped nuts
1/4 c marg or butter

* Mix all dry ingredients and sprinkle a bit onto the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.
* Cut frozen bread and put into pan unevenly. It’s easier to work w/when
it’s a little frozen yet.
* Sprinkle remaining dry ingredients over all.
* Cut butter into chunks and put over top.
* Let rise till almost level with pan.
* Bake at 300 for 25 - 30 min. Let it go longer if it’s still doughy.
* Flip onto cookie sheet.

Good luck, hope it turns out for anyone that wants to try. For anyone that makes it, let me know what you thought!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

I would of enjoyed pink salmon but we are having the traditional turkey with of course sweet potatoes and the usual feast and different type pies such as cherry and blueberry etc.

If fish is part of the original thanksgiving holiday or meal and according to history that was the case its use seems to be limited.
