Anyone having problems with Step Brothers? - Blu-ray Forum

I have a 60gb PS3 an it keeps sticking on the screen with the cartoon boat in the cartoon waves. Any ideas?

My netflix copy played fine. 60gb here too, and the boat was only up for mere seconds.

If you have that feature to autodownload BDLive stuff enabled, that might be slowing you down. I dont remember exactly where the option was. Go hunt down and Ironman (or Transformers?) thread. I think that's where most of the people around here ran into the problem.

The auto download of bd-live functions came when Ironman released. That should be what is causing you the problem. If that doesn't work, it may be a faulty disc.

Yeah I think there was a prompt that came up on the Iron Man asking if you wanted to download the features. It was specific to that disc. Same with Transformers.

I had no problems with my copy on my 60gb PS3. Except thanks to my (faulty) crappy TV, there was an issue with black levels.

Well its been almost 15 mnutes and its still in the same spot. Is there a way to disable the auto BD Live download?

No, as there isn't an auto BD Live download option. The auto download stuff was specific to Iron Man and Transformers. All that was, was them asking you if you wanted to download the features that were available on BD-Live for those discs. It has nothing to do with Step Brothers.

Have you checked the disc for finger prints or anything?

There is something in the settings on the ps3 (not on the disc). I am not sure where it is. Search for the Ironman threads. It was listed in there how to turn that off. You could always just disconnect your ps3 from the internet if you can not find the setting.

This movie worth buying? I enjoy Will Ferrell movies... but worried that it's too retarded ( semi-pro ) ... and the other guy ( Walk Hard ) .. didn't care for that either.. worthy blind buy or no?

I liked the movie. It is a different kind of comedy for Will Ferrell.

Thirded. Had some funny moments but wasn't as good as it could/should have been.

I loved it and have watched it a couple times (well once at home and once in the theater). I think there is quite a bit of rewatch value just from laughing over some of the dialogue.
