Hello DJJez.

Welcome to the HT Galleries Thread.
I must say that you have one of the most precise setups I've seen in a while. Clean and elegant not to mention that you have some impressive devices in your ensemble. The Monitor Audio Silver bookshelfs look sweet and we already know they sound amazing. Now that you've added the SVS SB13, your audio should be on another level.
Congrats on a fine accomplishment.

Allow me to echo the prior members statements and welcome you to the HT Galleries Thread. Your's is one of the most prime examples of understated elegance seen on these page.

A job well done

But may I make a suggestion ?

So with that "Oracle" like response, it's safe to assume that you're aware that repositioning the center to the top of the lowboy stand will garner better performance, meaning more effective panning across the front stage, right?

I guess this isn't the first time you've encountered this critique? No worries, your rig is still breath-taking regardless of center channel positioning. Hey, I've been viewing you system for a while now and I know that just adding the center was a huge step for you!

So tell me DJJez, with such a massive blu-ray collection, what kind of 2 channel collection do you have? Do you stream your music or are you a pure digital file (WMA, ALAC FLAC) type of bloke? Having Monitor Audio Silver's demands 2 channel music listening. The new SVS sub should free up the the bookshelfs to really perform in their element.

But there are an unusual number of turntable lovers in the HOME THEATER THREAD. Just sayin'. Not a bad thing, mind you, just different.

FLACS/mp3 on USB played via oppo 203

adding the sub has made a substantial difference to the monitor audio 2's. they no longer have to worry about bass duties so they have really come alive! they sound absolutly incredible.

I was thinking more along the lines of an area rug to reduce the hard surface reflections

I'm just saying!

Everyone did become a turntable fanatic.

I've been resisting the urge for years now.

And yes, actually, I would recommend that, re: mounting and center to top!

I had a similar issue a few years back -

But without a wall, I had to invent a way to mount it and put the center speaker up.

It does make a difference. Give it a shot!
