Where is Sin City?

This movie looks amazing in HD. Why isn't it on blu-ray yet? Sony needs to step up and get this great movie. If it becomes an hd-dvd exclusive I'm going to be so disappointed in Sony.

sony has nothing to do with this flick. afaik, it is a weinstein film. right now, they are an hd-dvd exclusive studio. take the issue up with them, and not sony.

aahhh! no way!!! hd-dvd only?!?!weistein and universal need to see that blu-ray is where it is at. i havent seen sin city on hd-dvd on store shelves.........DAMN! this needs to come to blu-ray......this and 40 year old virgin.......come on universal you have a market over here with blu-ray!!!

It's a Dimension movie (Weinsten purchased Dimension) but Buena Vista has distribution rights on everything released by Dimension up until October 2005. In other words you are definitely going to see it as a BD exclusive as soon as Buena Vista decides to release it (I am betting sometimes during 2007).

Sin City is distributed by Buena Vista, so it will be BD exclusive whenever they get of their asses and put this and Kill Bill out.

It is the Canadian Import that comes out on Amazon.com on the 9th. Amazon just recently started selling imports.

yeah, it's been out on amazon.ca for a while but amazon.COM is going to start selling out of U.S. Imports and has been adding thems slowly. Started with U.K. Imports and now will start carrying canadian imports

the canada import is a 25 gb disk. hopefully the american release will be a 50 gb disk which will allow lots more space for better video quality and special features.

I just got the canadian release of Sin City on BR and the Pic is AMAZING! But it's about as bare bones a disc that you can get meaning there are NO special features whatsoever. Just dolby digital and DTS sound. It really does look awesome though.

The US release might very well be a 50GB disc, but no one can say exactly how big the actual movie file size will be. The movie could very well only end up being just over 20GB, if that's what's required, with the additional space allocated to extras, etc.
